”Vi har överinvesterat i järnväg”. Det häpnadsväckande påståendet fällde finansminister Anders Borg i november förra året. Tågtrafiken ska alltså maka på sig till förmån för mer bilar och lastbilar enligt moderaterna. Det märks också i den praktiska politiken. Järnvägen sätts i strykklass.
I Katrineholm vill vi socialdemokrater göra tvärtom. Vi satsar på järnvägstransporter med vårt eko-logistiska centrum på Sandbäcken. Vi vill se mer av järnvägstrafik både till Stockholm – Göteborg och till Norrköping – Eskilstuna.
Men den borgerliga regeringen hjälper inte till. Viktiga järnvägsinvesteringar i Stockholm, den så kallade Citybanan, får regionen och Katrineholmarna stå för, istället för staten. Vi har ju överinvesterat i järnväg. Stödet till tågtrafiken mellan Norrköping och Västerås dras in och lämpas helt över på kommuner och landsting. Vi har ju överinvesterat i järnväg.
Istället för investeringar i mer tågtrafik blir det ideologiskt experimentverkstad vilket riskerar att ytterligare försämra tågets konkurrenskraft och Katrineholms status som viktig knutpunkt för tågtrafiken.

No, brother Fredrik-I say "brother" because we are members of the same political party in Katrineholm for I joined a few days ago-you are wrong. Local empire building plans are misguided at best and a total waste of precious resources at worst. We already have a railroad in Katrineholm. We can go anywhere we wish and anyone can come here. But it's the grandiose notion that by building an ugly warehouse nearly in the middle of Katrineholm ("Sweden's Eden") to the railroad and giving away 18 million crowns away that is screwing up Katrineholm's future. Take of first things first. Such as local clinics, local education-remember the Valla fiasco of a few weeks ago? Take care of needless waste in government that costs jobs, clinics, and services to the elderly,etc.
Fredrik, you present a poor picture of what is going on in Katrineholm by presenting half-truths. No more. You bring nothing useful to the party in terms of useful and realistic ideas that really meet the fundamental needs of the people and have brought nothing useful for years.
By the way, now that I am in the party, make sure you greet me with dignity and never again act as if I am not here. I'm here. You and some of your fellows in the party are the old party-the railroad boys-but there is a new party within the Katrineholm Socialdemokraterna that understands more about solving problems realistically than you or our current leader Mr. Dahlström.
